What our dino nugget pillow actually is

Search for a dino nugget pillow and most of what comes up are fuzzy plush toys, often sold in packs of three or five. Ours is a different thing, and it's worth knowing which one you want before you buy.

• It's a printed, shaped pillow. The nugget is printed on the front of a 100% polyester pillow and the pillow is cut to the nugget's outline. It's soft and squashy, but the texture is smooth fabric, not fur.
• One nugget, one shape. It's the long-neck dinosaur, the one with the sweeping neck and tail. It's sold as one pillow, not a set.
• 3″ to 5″ thick. A cuddle and couch pillow, not something to sleep on.
• Printed on the front only, with a plain white back. Face the nugget out.
• Sealed, with no zipper. There's no cover to remove and nothing to unzip.
• Printed to order on a blank sourced in the USA. It ships to US addresses only.

If what you want is a fluffy plush toy for a toddler to drag around by the tail, a plush is the better buy. If you want the nugget itself, with its crumb and its golden edges, sitting on a sofa, a dorm bed or an office chair, this is the one.

Which size dino nugget pillow?

The listing gives each size as a square: 10″ × 10″, 16″ × 16″ and 22″ × 22″. In the listing photos the nugget runs corner to corner, so read those numbers as the size of the square it's cut from, not the length of the nugget.

The whole range is four dollars apart, so choose on where it's going to live, not on price. If you can't decide, the medium is right for nearly everyone. The large is the one that gets a laugh when it comes out of the box.

Dino nugget pillow FAQ

Is it a plush toy? It's a soft, 100% polyester pillow cut to the nugget's shape, with the nugget printed on the front. It's squashy, but it has a smooth fabric face rather than fur.

Which dinosaur is the nugget? The long-neck: a sauropod-shaped nugget with a sweeping neck and tail.

Is the back printed? No. The nugget is on the front and the back is plain white.

Does the cover come off? No. It's sealed, with no zipper and no removable cover.

Can a child sleep on it? It's a decorative pillow, 3–5″ thick. Good for cuddling and lounging. Use a proper sleeping pillow under their head and let the nugget keep them company.
